The following statement from MC website, is
dated 2005, on their 2007 schedule. During 2005, illness from fogging was
minimal compared to 2004. However in 2006, there was apparently no effort
to reduce fogging, as fogging occurred every night from
August 17, 2006 through
October 31, 2006 throughout the valley. Fogging
related illness was at an all time high. In addition the poisons they were
using were changed due to EPA action against the manufacturer. Prior to
this, chemical information was available on their website. A key
difference in product information is from a 3 day half-life to a 30 day
half-life. Meaning the fog remains persistently toxic for at least 30 days
with normal rainfall and sunlight.

In an effort to reduce fogging, Maricopa County has increased its
prevention efforts for the 2005 West Nile Virus season. When necessary,
fogging will occur in small, "spot" locations. Maricopa County will post
notification of any fogging it conducts to this website.
Please be advised that Maricopa County is not responsible for fogging
conducted by other agencies such as cities, townships and home owner
associations, Citizens are advised to contact these agencies directly to
receive notification of non-County fogging schedules.
