Warning: There is no such thing as a good or safe
pesticide. A pesticide can not be used safely. All pesticides are toxic
chemicals that poison everything in their pathway. Pesticides permeate
into everything and can not be cleaned up or washed out. Pesticides can
biodegrade into more toxic compounds. Some pesticides are very persistent
with long a half-life and bioaccumulate up the food chain. The so-called
"inert" ingredients are now referred to as "other" ingredients because
they are often more toxic than the active ingredient which is considered
the pesticide (example:
Lindane
is 1% active ingredient 99% other such as acetone or trade secrets.
However when testing for lindane only the lindane can be detected).
Pesticides are made from petroleum (oil/petrochemicals)
"Many scientists believe there is no safe level of exposure to a carcinogen."
